Hi,

I can't delete Intermediary Posts from a many2many relationship even though I deleted the relationship, they post types on either side, the field groups and all views and content templates.
How can I get rid of them so I can start over on my set-up?

Thanks.

Hello,

1) When you setup the many-to-many relationship between post types, there is an option "Intermediary Post Type visible in WordPress admin menu", see screenshot relationship-wizard.JPG, you can enable it , then you will be able to manage the Intermediary posts just like other posts.

2) If you did not enable that option, after you delete the many-to-many relationship, you can create a new post type with the same slug, then you will be able to delete those Intermediary posts.

Hi Luo,

Thank you for your response.
It doesn't seem to work though. Now I have two intermediary posts with same title and I can't delete either.
I re-created the original posts on either side of the intermediary post and recreated the relationship and made the intermediary "visible"....but I still can't delete the intermediaries and now have two with same name.

Thank you.
Regards

It works fine in my localhost, please make sure you have done this:
1) Dashboard-> Toolset-> Relationships
delete the specific many-to-many relationship

2) Dashboard-> Toolset-> Post Types
Create a new custom post type with the same slug as above many-to-many relationship

3) Dashboard-> new custom post type
Find and delete those Intermediary Posts

If you still need assistance for it, please provide a database dump file (ZIP file) of your website in below "private detail box", also point out the problem many-to-many relationship slug, I need to duplicate same problem and debug it in my localhost, thanks.

Hi Luo,

I will try. I think what happened is I did an import from my staging site and got stuck with an extra intermediary.
Will try what you said and let you know.

Thanks,
Scott.
