[Resolved] Can’t assign or create a Template, front end is locked in on single . php

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user is unable to create a custom template for their pages as the option is greyed out.

Solution:

In order to create a content template for this you will need to install our views plugin. You can download this plugin from the link below.
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

For this user they didn't have our Views plugin installed.

This support ticket is created 6 years, 5 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

I am trying to: assign a custom template to my new 'Franchise Blogs' post type, without affecting any other content on the site.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

hidden link ... this is loading the single.php but won't let me assign anything different on the backend.

I expected to see:

... options on the screenshot below, where I could assign a custom template.

Instead, I got:

... the screenshot below where I can't change my template for this new post type
