I am trying to assign to each custom type created its author, this author is from the role 'shops' however I don't see any place to assign it.

could you help me?

Hello, in the new Block Editor, Users with custom roles do not appear in the author field by default. This article includes some custom code that might help you add custom roles to the Block Editor author field:
https://www.davidmillington.net/2020/02/25/wordpress-authors-dropdown-custom-roles/
You should consult the WordPress documentation for more information about this, as it is custom code that falls outside the scope of Toolset support.

In the legacy post editor, you can use code like the example in another ticket:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/author-dropdown-and-custom-roles/

To expose the author field in the legacy post editor, you can go to Toolset > Post Types and edit the custom post type. In the "Sections to display when editing" panel, you can turn on the Author option.
