Can not create custom fields, got the limit

This support ticket is created 6 years, 6 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I am trying to:
I have a big form, I was creating my custon fields and at some point it does not create more fields.
I tought might be maxInputVars, but i Put 10000 and nothing.
Could you help me please.

You can not add any custom fields anymore, got save but does not show in the edit page, and also do not show in the custom post page.

Hi Filipe,

Thanks for reporting this problem.

Unfortunately, I couldn't replicate your issue locally. So, it seems that it's a problem with your installation.

I'm sure that this issue needs to be debugged locally using the debugging tools because we will need to check which part of the code causes the issue.

or possible there is a problem in your data that will need a script to be run or can be handled by a backward compatibility code.

Anyway, to be able to do so, we will need to work on a copy of your website.
You can use the Duplicator plugin to provide this copy, upload it then share the download link with us here.

Hi, can you give me some more information? I was not able to replicate this problem, so I think I do not understand. I logged into your site and created a new field successfully. You can see the field "toolset-test-1" here:

- Is the problem in a particular browser?
- Is the problem a particular type of field?
- Is the problem a particular field slug?
- Can you show me a screenshot of the problem?

Hi,

You should use the backup I sent, This live site I am finishing the project. I divide into smaller groups to get the same result.

In the backup there the Oferta Type has one Custom Group very big and you can replicate the problem.

Try to add more than 30 custom fields, there is a limit and you can not add more.

Using the instructions you provided, I still cannot replicate the problem locally using the backup. I'm attaching some screenshots here that show the wp-admin editor screens where I have added more than 30 custom fields and defined those custom field values in an Oferta post.
