Previous version of access was working perfectly.
After taking the leap into upgrading to all your newest versions. I looked around my site and everything appeared to be working fine until I logged out and discovered that all previous Guest accessible pages were no longer accessible by guests. Every Post type that was previously set to be accessible to guests was showing my views custom template (members only page with a link to register). BUT my custom registration page and custom login page was showing the same message. So in other words I was in complete lockout. So I had to deactivate Access just to be able to log back in .... Then the hours of testing began...
Previous settings:
POSTS No Guest View Access
Pages Guest view access with some limited content access using short codes
Some Custom Post types - Guest view Access with limited content access using short codes
All Other Custom Post types - No Guest View Access
I use Weaver Xtreme Theme switched to twenty sixteen had the same problem. I have Layouts deactivated because of previous Access Issues https://toolset.com/forums/topic/conditional-view-of-layout-cell/ . I reactivated layouts and noticed that some content was now visible to guests, then deactivated it.
Then the miracle happened.... I gave Guests, view access to POSTS .... Then all guest accessible content on "Custom Posts Types and pages" was now visible to guests..... GREAT BUT... I use posts as members only content, and not as a master control for all custom post types.
So, What I found is that each individual Custom post type and page, Access Settings, are no longer independent of each other. They all rely on what you have set for POSTS (BIG PROBLEM).
I hope you can get this problem fixed ASAP. Thanks
