[Resolved] Using dynamic sources in Heading block

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I'm not able to find Dynamic Sources when using the heading block.

Solution: Be sure to use the Toolset Blocks Heading block and not the native WordPress Heading block. Dynamic Sources are only integrated in the Toolset Heading Block.

Where is the Getting Started tutorial?

#1913801

Hello, are you referring to a specific tutorial that existed in the past, or are you asking generally how to get started? We have documentation and course lessons available here under the heading "Getting Started", if that's what you are referring to: https://toolset.com/documentation/
Our documentation was reorganized recently, so you may not be able to access some old documentation URLs and tutorials that existed previously. If there's something specific you're looking for, can I help?

The specific issue is that "Dynamic Source" is not showing up in the sidebar as shown in https://toolset.com/course-lesson/creating-templates-to-display-custom-posts/. I've tried creating a heading within a container, just a heading and other variations - and have yet to see "Dynamic Source" show up. I'm very experienced in WordPress and technically fluent. Thanks for your help.

Hi, there are two different "Heading" blocks, one is the native WordPress heading block and the other is the Toolset Blocks Heading block. Only the Toolset heading block will integrate Dynamic Sources. Is it possible you have placed the native WP Heading block instead of the Toolset block? If you place the Toolset block, the block icon will be an orange "H", and Dynamic Sources should be available. If you place the native WP block, the icon will look like a black hanging banner. I'm attaching two screenshots here showing the difference in the block editor. Note that Dynamic Sources are not available for the native WP heading block. You must place a Toolset Heading Block instead to use Dynamic Sources.

If that isn't the problem, I'll be glad to take a closer look.

Thank you, Christian! Despite my WP experience, I always use the classic editor so had zero frame of reference for selecting the right (Toolset) heading. Screenshots and explanations much appreciated.
