Hi,

I am trying to figure out what is going on.
I created a custom view, and for some reason, elements are being wrapped in b tags:

Here is an extract of what the code looks like in Toolset Views:

And for some reason it ends up as:

on the front end of the website. I am not sure how and why those tags are being inserted in there. Would you please let me know how I can force the code to appear as I type it in as it causes a lot of issues, and the way the tags are inserted does not make any sense, it groups together elements that should not be grouped together etc.

I don't have the link to the page where this view can be seen, but, usually, something like this happens when an HTML tag (in this case b tag) is opened somewhere on the page but is never closed/balanced.

This necessarily doesn't have to be from inside the view and it can be coming from some HTML before the view too. Browsers try to close/balance such tags on their own while rendering the page on the front-end, which results in unexpected repetitions/behavior.

You can view the page's raw HTML using the view source code feature in the browsers:

Another option is to validate your page's code through an online markup validator like:

So turns out the user was inserting the short-code with bold tags. Thank you for the tip Waqar, I will make sure to check for this before contacting support in the future. Hopefully this can help others in the future.
