Author role cannot save the custom fields entries of a custom type

This support ticket is created 6 years, 1 month ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

I am trying to: Create an item from a custom type with custom fields using a user with author role

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see: The custom fields to be saved upon publish using the author role

Instead, I got: Only the title and content is saved upon publish
