We have moved over from Toolset Starter Theme to Astra since Toolset Starter has been deprecated. However, there is a bug in the integration between Layouts and Astra.
When one creates an Archive layout, you have Theme Options at the bottom of the layout page, which control the interaction between the theme and the Layout. There is an option to disable the Pagination and Archive Title. If I disable those, all is fine, and then they are removed in the front end.
However, if I reopen the layout and make some further changes (e.g. to an embedded view) and re-save the layout, then those elements reappear in the front end. They are still disabled in the layout, an in order to disable them again, I have to re-enable them, re-save the layout, then disable them again and re-save the layout.
Something is going wrong with these settings being overwritten every time the layout is saved.
