On my site, using plugin Elementor Header Footer & Blocks, need the header to show on ALL pages. It is not showing on any page when I assign a Content Template to that page/custom post type.
Using the Content Template, the header and footer don't show - hidden link
If I set the Content Template to "None" then the header and footer show - hidden link

Deleting all the content within the Content Template itself doesn't help.
Changing the theme doesn't help. Tried that.
I deactivated all plugins except 5 critical ones (Elementor, Elementor Header Footer Blocks, GeneratePress Premium, and Toolset Types, and Toolset Views) to that actual page type. That didn't help.

At a loss.

You should not assign Content Templates or Layouts to any content if you use Elementor in the same post, wether as template, or global (header/footer).
It will not work.
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/using-toolset-with-elementor-page-builder/create-templates-for-custom-post-types-with-elementor-and-toolset/#limitations-when-using-elementor-and-toolset-templates-together

Instead, you should design your content with Elementor, which is your page builder of choice and will "lead".
Then, you can add Toolset items using Elementor's widgets and/or dynamic inputs.

I hope this helps!

Thank you. I'm working on this still. Not an ideal scenario simply because some of the code is dynamic and was easy to do as I had it in the Content Template. Now taking it out of there is causing a bit of a work-around...assuming I'm able to get it to work as well.

Is getting Content Templates to work with Elementor a possibility in the future, or will it perpetually be a no-can-do?

Unless both Developers receive similar tasks from their Product Managers, I don't think this will ever become possible.

You can see it like this:
Elementor is a template designer
Content Templates are only designing the Post Body

Hence by design, you would insert a Content Template in an Elementor Template, not the other way around, and that is exactly how the existing integration was designed.

You'd hence have to request some changes to that, both at Toolset and Elementor.
We offer this form to suggest new features or integrations https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/
I think you can reach Elementor thru WordPress or Git, for features.
