In the meantime I did a further try and this time It is only Toolset View without any Elementor usage, except for the Site Footer, with the following result:
The Content from a Single View with a child View appears, but all the CSS added to the Views are getting stripped off after updating Views to 2.7 - rolling back to 2.6.3 solves this issue.
Maybe you should escalate this ticket to Amir, as he mentioned recently in a post comment on your blog how important it is to him that upgrades work as painless as possible and how much he cares about stability.
Please check these:
1) In case it is a compatibility problem, please deactivate other plugins, and switch to wordpress default theme 2017, and test again
2) If it is fixed, then it should be a compatibility issue, please try to locate the problem plugin/theme by activate them one by one, according to our workflow for compatibility issue, I need these details:
a) the copy of problem plugin, are you using the same plugins as the duplicator package you provided above? https://toolset.com/forums/topic/single-templates-in-elementor-not-showing-content-after-last-toolset-update/#post-1111419
If they are not the same version, please provide a copy of you are using, prefer the latest versions.
b) The detail steps to duplicate it in a duplicate the same problem in a fresh wordpress installation:
3) If the problem isn't fixed, please provide a database dump file of your website, also point out the problem page URL and view URL, I need to duplicate it in my localhost, then escalate it.
Here are what I found:
1) You are using the latest version of Views plugin 2.7
2) I assume we are talking about the CSS codes in view "Shop Items Child View", in section "Loop item in Shop Items Child View"-> "CSS Edior"
3) I have tried to add some extra CSS codes in it, and new CSS codes does not output in front-end, so I need to download your website duplicator package, and debug it in my localhost.
4) Currently, I suggest you move your custom CSS codes to section Loop Editor->"CSS Editor", and test again, I have tried it in your website, it works fine. can you confirm it? thanks
I will try the workaround you suggest and let you know.
On the site is also a duplicator package called ToolsetSupport which is a copy of the site with Views 2.6.3
In the meantime I came along a different Issue when using Views and Elementor to create the single templates: How can field values be displayed by using conditions ?
Luo is on vacation. This is Minesh here and I'll take care of this ticket. Hope this is OK.
Glad to know that solution that Luo shared with you works for you.
Could you please kindly open a new ticket with your new question. This will help other users searching on the forum and also help us to write correct ticket resolution summery.
thanks for your reply and happy holidays to Luo 🙂
But I wouldn't call this a "solution" at all as its rather a lucky shot workaround because the CSS doesn't gets loaded from the corresponding CSS field at the the content template - which is broke since Views 2.6.4.
I hope this issue got forwarded to the Devs, so it can get fixed before more Toolset Users trip over this bug.
As you can see - the CSS in the CSS Editor below the Template doesn't gets loaded and the CSS added to the CSS Editor below the Loop Editor gets loaded.
Thank you for all the required information. I installed Elementor + Elementor pro + Astra theme and I've added some custom CSS to view's template's CSS section but I see the custom CSS added to view's template loads just fine.
(I've tested this with latest Toolset plugins + WordPress 5.0.1 and the save version of Elementor plugins installed on your site)
In order to minimize the cause of the issue:
Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes?
