I am trying to:
Add an external 3rd party shortcode named EditorsChoiceText via Settings --> Frontend content

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
Screenshot attached

I expected to see:
The shortcode to be added

Instead, I got:
an error message

I was able to add it - but it had to be lowercase. I am under the impression that shortcode names are case sensitive. How do I get this fixed?

Hi Amit

I just checked to confirm that the settings will not let you add shortcodes with uppercase letters, even though the error message does not list any such restriction.

I've never seen shortcodes with upper case letters before, probably because every example in the WordPress documentation only ever uses lower case letters and dashes or sometimes underscores, but I tested and you can register "Boo" and "boo" as shortcodes at the same time, and both will work.

I've escalated this and asked the developers to remove this limitation, and I'll keep you posted.

Hi there

Today's plugin release includes an update to allow upper case letters.

Please let me know if you still have problems after updating.
