[Resolved] Add Toolset elements to DIVI homepage.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I am building a recruitment agency website using the DIVI theme and Toolset. I want to add Toolset elements to the homepage, which is built with the DIVI builder. I see that the DIVI builder has a Toolset views module, but I am unsure if using the legacy Toolset Views is the best approach.

Solution:

Enable the legacy views mode to add Toolset elements to the DIVI builder. Go to "Toolset > Settings > General", check "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build", reload the page, and then go to "Toolset > Views" to edit and use views shortcodes in the DIVI builder.

I am currently building a new website for a client who has started up their own recruitment agency. I am using the DIVI theme and have installed Toolset as I want to create a job listing directory that visitors can view, filter and search. For each page I am making a decision to either use DIVI builder or Toolset content templates as much as possible. I have installed 'Toolset blocks' and 'Toolset types'.

However, I do want to create and add some toolset elements to the homepage which is built using the DIVI builder. I notice that the DIVI builder does have a Toolset views module which looks like it would solve the issue for me, but would need me to use Toolset Views. There is also the following post available on the DIVI website also highlighting this integration:

I can see that Toolset views is still available to download to enable me to use the DIVI module, however I just wanted to check that this is still the best approach as Toolset views is now a legacy product? or is there another way to achieve this?

Thanks
Lee

Hi Lee,

I think also it will be better that you add your views using legacy mode. You do not need to install any plugins and Toolset Blocks will do the trick.

Please do as follows:

- Go to "Toolset > Settings > General".
- Find the "Editing experience" section.
- Check the "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build" checkbox.
- Reload the browser page.
- Go to the newly added "Toolset > Views" menu.
- There you will be able to edit the views.

That will enable the legacy views. Now please use that to create whatever you want. This time you will have access to Views shortcode to use it in Divi builder.
