Parametric search – crash AJAX
Started by: Bochnacki
in: Toolset Professional Support
Quick solution available
Problem:
Parametric search query takes time even for a few minutes.
Solution:
Updated the Toolset plugins resolved the issue. And make sure that URL parameter prefixes for your View are same as generated by Toolset Views plugin (you can create a new test custom search view to match that).

List custom field files
Started by: Chris
in: Types Community Support
Quick solution available
Problem:
There are two custom post types: a) Stories, b) Resources. Both have file upload fields called "resources" for people to upload documents to. I have a shared taxonomy called "resource type".
1) I want to have a template for each CPT that will show the page content, then list all the attached files that were uploaded so people can see and download.
2) I want to have a listing page that shows both CPTs in date order.
3) I want a sidebar with the "Resource Type" so people can filter the listing page.
Solution:
Q1) How do you setup the custom file field "resources", is it a multiple instance field? if it is, you can use [wpv-for-each] shortcode to display it as what you want, see our document:
https://toolset.com/documentation/views-shortcodes/#wpv-for-each
Q2) You can try this:
1) Create a view, query posts of both custom post type Stories & Resources
2) Oder the result by the post date
Q3) Yes, you can create a view with custom search form, filter by the taxonomy "Resource Type", and display the search form insider in sidebar, and display the search result in the content area, see our document:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/front-page-filters/

Div wrapper around Layouts row
Started by: Eric Anderson
in: Toolset Professional Support
Quick solution available
Problem: I would like to wrap a row in my Layout using another tag.
Solution: There isn't a good way to do this. You can add to the contents of your row and target those contents with CSS, or you can modify the row type settings, or you can try DOM manipulation with JavaScript, but the most likely answer is you can use CSS.

Change a page to Front Page and use Layouts
Started by: Marco Bolleter
in: Toolset Professional Support
Quick solution available
Problem:
I have a Page that has a Layout assigned.
I want to make that Page to be the Front End Page of WordPress.
Will I loose the Layout?
Solution:
No.
Here are the steps to use a Layout on a page, and make that page the static front page without "losing" the Layout:
1. Create any Layout
2. Create any Page
3. Assign that Layout to the Page
4. Control the output on the front end
5. Make the Page the "Static Front Page"
6. Control the output again.
==> The same Layout will be applied.
