Toolset 1.6.17 – Compatibility with WordPress 6.7
Today we released Toolset 1.6.17, our new fully compatible version for WordPress 6.7, with important fixes for Toolset Views and Blocks.
After this initial release, we rolled out some minor updates with Toolset Blocks 1.6.18 and Toolset Views 3.6.18, as well as Toolset Access 2.9.2 which wasn’t originally included. These updates fix an issue with some blocks appearing broken in the editor, a glitch that pushed the top editor section, and improved compatibility for Toolset Access with WordPress 6.7.
WordPress 6.7 brings new powerful features to speed up your development process and launch sites faster. This includes custom preview settings in the WordPress editor, zoom out view for Site Editing, Query Loop that automatically inherits queries from templates, and more.
However, WordPress 6.7 also introduced changes that cause issues when working with the Views block:
- Using an existing View in a block might end up with that block being declared as corrupt
- Closing the sidebar might break the View block
To continue enjoying a smooth development experience and ensure compatibility with WordPress 6.7, we highly recommend updating Toolset plugins before switching to the new WordPress version.
Other Fixes
Toolset 1.6.17 also includes some additional fixes:
- A fix to ensure image blocks generate src attributes when using dynamic sources.
- Filters by decimals can now manage values as integers.
- Improved compatibility with PHP 8.2 and 8.3 for better performance on modern servers.

Hi
Looking forward to this. Using Maps heavily on my newest site.
Hi Kristian,
I’m glad to hear our Maps feature is useful for your new site! We’ll release more details about the Maps release soon 🙂

2 suggestions that I’d like to see.
-the possibility to use area outlines, like a city area, a Province area etc.
-the possibility to hide Googles map markers for a less cluttered map.
Thanks for suggesting these features Kristian. I’ll share them with our developers as feature requests.

Excellent! I will post more suggestions here if I come up with more.
Check out this plugin, they have a lot of smart functions.

quando vocês vão lançar uma versão em protuguês do Toolset?
Hi Fernando,
We don’t have any plans at the moment for releasing a Portuguese version of Toolset. We’ll publish an announcement if we have news about this topic.

Hi there,
Thanks so much for keeping everything working properly with these updates!! <3
My question pertains to everything Legacy. Does this update have any effect on Legacy views? Also, the "Toolset Maps Rehaul", does this also give Legacy maps an upgrade as well?
Thanks again and love Toolset!!
Hi Jason,
Yes, this update affects Legacy views. The same changes we made to Toolset Views apply to the Legacy view:
Fixes for frontend filter by DECIMAL fields
Improved compatibility with PHP 8.2 / 8.3

Glad to hear that Toolset is coming back to new features again. Looking forward to seing whats new with Maps.
But, can we see UI-less additojns for builders like bricks, things like integrations for query loops filtered on relationships. We do have the PHP Query Loop Editor which facilitates this but it’s not for everybody. It eleiminates a lot of the context wstiching to UI for views and templates.
And, keep an eye for Etch in the next few years. It’s potentially going to be the disruptor that blows everthing up to now out of the water.
While I appreciate the work done by Toolset in the blocks area, personally many of us don’t use it as it has turned out to be the panacea for all site building scenarios. It doesn’r follow best practice and in fact is becoming a dead end. In otherwords it’s the underthe hood functionality that is appreciated in Toolset rather than it’s blocks offerings.
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! We’ll keep them in mind for future updates 🙂
