Toolset 1.5 brings deep integration with Kadence Blocks plugin. Learn how to use these great new features.

We just released the Toolset Blocks 1.5. It enables Toolset’s Dynamic Sources for Kadence blocks, including both free and pro versions.

How it works

This integration is now visible to all versions of Toolset Blocks. However, it will work properly only if you use Toolset Blocks 1.5 Beta or a newer version. If you use Toolset Blocks 1.4 or older version, you will see the Dynamic Sources options inside Kadence Blocks but they will not work properly.

Toolset “tells” Kadence for which blocks and options there are Dynamic Sources available. Here is the full list of Kadence blocks with Dynamic Sources enabled.

Kadence Blocks – Free version:

  • Info Box
  • Advanced Heading
  • Row Layout
  • Column
  • Pane

Kadence Blocks – Pro version:

  • Image overlay
  • Split Content
  • Modal (few visual glitches but otherwise works fine)
  • Video popup

How to use it

When using Kadence Blocks on your Toolset-powered site, insert or select a Kadence block and look for the Dynamic Sources section in the right sidebar. There, simply enable dynamic sources for any available option you need.

Here’s an example of using Dynamic Sources in a Kadence Info Box block.

    • Hi, John! I presume you’re talking about the Kadence Advanced Buttons block. It’s not on the list of currently integrated Kadence blocks. Not sure if there is a (technical) reason behind this, but I just created a feature request for our developers about it. Thanks for the comment!

      • I would like to second John’s request for integration with the Kadence Button block. This is probably one of the most important blocks when it comes to making directories and more.

        Thanks!

        • Hi again, John and Andrew! I got back from the developer that did the Toolset-Kadence integration. There is a technical reason why the Kadence Advanced Button block wasn’t integrated. It requires some additional development to make it work with Dynamic Sources. We created a task to do this and will work on it as soon as possible. It’s too complex too be done for the 1.5 release but we’ll do our best to include it in one of the following releases. Thank you for the feedback!

  1. This sounds great! We’ve been eagerly awaiting this! Thank you.

Can you please elaborate on the meaning of “This integration is now visible to all versions of Toolset Blocks. However, it will work properly only if you use Toolset Blocks 1.5 Beta or a newer version.”?

What does it is visible mean? Does this mean we can see the functionality but it does not work?

    Thanks

    • Hi, Andrew! Yes, that’s exactly the point – if you use Blocks 1.4 or older version, you will see the options to turn on Dynamic Sources inside Kadence Blocks but they will not work.

I just updated the text of this post to clarify this. Thank you!

    • Hi! I don’t understand the question. Do you mean, if you can use the Kadence Form Block for displaying a Toolset front-end form? This is not possible. Is that what you meant?

  2. Thanks. I mean. Can i insert a frontend from to a kadence modal so that customer can edit their post with one click popup with frontend form

    • Honestly, we didn’t test this and in this release, we added support for Dynamic Sources to Kadence Block, nothing related to inserting Toolset forms. You could try this using the shortcode for displaying your Toolset form, but I don’t know if that can even work. You can always ask in our Support if you need a hand. 🙂
