What I want to do is to create a page with search form only (no results at first.) After user has selected a filter and hits the Search button, the results will show up below the search form.
With this same method, you can also display messages or other fields depending on what term is chosen.
Note, this works only for hierarchical terms, not for flat terms like tags
My understanding is that if the user leaves a field blank, the Default Value would be used instead - in other words, the field can not be blank or zero if Default Value has a value.
Solution:
The default value works only for when you create the post, it will pre-fill the phone number field with default value "N/A", your user can clear the field value to blank.
After save post, the Types shortcode [types field='phone-number'][/types] will display the value from website database, since it is empty, it will output blank value.
In your case, you might consider to use [wpv-conditional] shortcode to check "Phone Number" field's value, if it is blank/empty, then display text "N/A", for example:
The issue here is that the user had issue updating their plugin. "Update Failed: Undefined"
Solution:
In this user's case following the instructions below resolved the issue. Could you try doing the update by going to Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial and update them from there ?
