Problem: I would like to show custom User fields in a View. Some of these fields are coming from Gravity Forms, and I cannot find them in the GUI. Solution: You can go to Toolset > Custom Fields > User Fields > User Field Control and manage these fields with Types, or you can use the wpv-user shortcode to display the field value. [wpv-user field="ref_cdmv_api_key"] Relevant Documentation: |

Problem: I would like to create a link to share my post. The link should act like a "mailto" link, opening the email editor with some prepopulated information about the post in the mail body. Solution: You can add parameters and shortcodes to the mailto link URL to set any HTML you want in the message. Designing that template will require custom HTML and CSS. Relevant Documentation: |

Specialized access to a view

Problem: I'm developing a site where a user will have a login (based upon their email address) and an a client id (in a custom field - 'client_id'). When they try to view this particular view (or any associated view) I only want them to see posts (they are from custom post type) related to their 'client_id'. Solution: If they are standard WordPress custom user field, you can use Views shortcode [wpv-user] to get the field value, for example: [wpv-user field="wpcf-custom-user-field"] Relevant Documentation: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views-shortcodes/#wpv-user |
