Problem: I have a custom search View that uses
a date custom field, and datepickers to allow the user to select a date range. I would like the minimum date to start at January 1 1600 and the maximum date to end at December 31 1699. Some of my posts do not have a date selected in their custom field, but I would still like for them to be displayed in the search results.
Solution: Views is designed to disregard results that are not included in your user's selected date range. Therefore, results without a date selected will not be shown. If you want to include these results, you should add another filter using the "OR" condition. This should filter based on some other criteria that you can manage separately from the custom date field, whether it's manually or automatically.
You may add the following snippet to make the datepicker ranges work as expected:
