Hello

I am trying to: put the filters below the map like your TRAVEL DEMO here : hidden link

I have created a demo ( hidden link ) to see the Views Code and the shortcode [wpv-map-render] is located in the OUTPUT EDITOR AREA :

==
[wpv-map-render map_id="map-2" map_height="360" scrollwheel="off" cluster="on" background_color="#ffffff" style_json="hidden link"]

<h3>Filters</h3>
<hr>
[wpv-filter-meta-html]
<hr>
[wpv-layout-meta-html]

===

Instead of the loop, so i tried to move the shortcode in the OUTPUT EDITOR but i can't save on the backend (stuck on saving)

So i tried to save the demo and it's stucked too.

What i want is to get the filters below the MAP

Hi Christophe,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Could you provide me with a login to the site where you are having troubles saving the view ?

The private fields have been enabled for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Christopher,

Yes this is possible if you use our layouts plugin to do the custom archive.

You can add the map to a separate cell. The only issue I believe is that you would need a full page refresh for the map to load the new information when the search is done.

Is there a page where you've started to set this up so we can work on it together?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

1 /
Results : hidden link

i use an Archive WordPress named "Pages Entreprises" :
hidden link

And the following layout :
hidden link

I'd like only the map on the left column, the search filters and the result list on the right.

Is it possible to design Archive with Elementor as i ve done with "Pages entreprise" unique you can see here ?
hidden link

2 /
Also, is it possible to know why i can't save the layout with the search filter below the map in the demo (my first question) :
hidden link
id : castejon
pass : Tool@34&130
If i add an html in the output editor where is the map (wpv-map-render) shortcode, save isn't possible. I think there is a problem when you go out this shortcode, below the filter shortcode ([wpv-filter-meta-html]). I can't understand why the demo is working.

Thanks for your help,
Chris

Hi Christophe,

I've separated this for you. So the map is not on the left side as requested.

It will take some css work to get it exactly like the elementor setup that you've sent, but for the most part you can have a similar setup.

"Also, is it possible to know why i can't save the layout with the search filter below the map in the demo (my first question) :"

This one seems to be an issue on our side, however in your case it should work fine on your personal site.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Many thanks for your help, i changed some CSS (height with media queries) and now it looks great.

I need now to geolocate my visitor on the map when he comes on the webpage or with a button on the search filter.
How can i do that ?

For the second part, i already tried with my website but i was stuck when i was tyring to save. I will retry on another Archive template.

Many thanks.
Christophe

Hi Christophe,

Happy I was able to assist you so far. What you can do for the geolocation is to follow the instructions in the link below.
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/display-on-google-maps/filtering-and-ordering-map-markers-by-distance/

Please let me know the results of this.

Thanks,

Hi Christophe,

So I checked on out system tickets and I see where they have added support for the distance filter on the custom archives.

Right now without this functionality there isn't a way to add the distance filter on the archive.

However what you can try doing is to create a view and replace the custom archive view that is on the layout with this normal view.

This normal view should also target the same CPT that this Layout is set for, you should be able to add the distance filter to that regular view.

Please let me know if this is clear.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Christophe,

It seems the issue was with the search filters. I've adjusted the filter to reflect the correct url Parameter.

The search should now be working and I see that the map is already loaded so I didn't need to modify this at all.

Could you check again and let me know if i've missed anything.

Thanks,
Shane

Hello Shane,

it works, thanks.
1 /I need specific marker for each categories (i.e : restaurant = blue icon, coaching = green icon...) and the geolocation.
How can i do that ?

2 /Other need for this website, i need to display a directory list of member. I 've readen that it's not possible to create archive
with USER fields, only using CPT. So i created a "PAGES MEMBRES" CPT with a slug named "membres".
I created an archive but i can only see it following this link :

hidden link

I'd like to display this archive on a specific page, only to the logged customer with specific access to this url :
hidden link

How can i do that ?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Shane,

On your advice, i opened 2 other threads but anwsers doesn't really help cause the support ticket was assigned to somenoe which didn't create the views and know the archive you helped me to do create.
Could you help me with conditional logic about the first point which is about the map feature ?

Kind regards.
Christophe
