What is the use of wpml-string shortcode in Views
Solution:

The [wpml-string] shortcode assists in building multilingual sites with the help of the Toolset and WPML plugins. It allows you to register strings for translation in WPML’s String translation and displays the translations.

This support ticket is created 5 years, 9 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

What is the

[wpml-string context="wpv-views"][/wpml-string]

for that is found in the default Views layout?

I can not find any reference to this in the Views documentation.

Thank you for your reply and the information.

So if I do not use the WPML plugins this is not needed for anything else and I can remove and just display normal text instead?
