[Resolved] WordPress 7.1 update issues

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

After updating WordPress to version 6.7.1, two issues occurred:

Image sizing in Toolset Views was altered.

UI elements, including the update button, disappeared from the Toolset Content Templates Editing Screen, making updates impossible.

Solution:

Image Sizing Issue:

WordPress 6.7.1 has reportedly fixed the image sizing bug. Test it on a clone of your website before applying it to the live site.

Toolset UI Misalignment:

Toolset has released a hotfix to resolve the UI alignment issue.
Download the updated Toolset plugins manually from:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
Install the updated Toolset Blocks and Access plugins on your site to fix the issue.

- UI elements in Toolset Content Templates Editing Screen UI elements disappeared :

IMPORTANT :
The site is now on WP 7.1 : if you need to have me restore the 6.4 version, let me know and I will do it as soon as I receive your request.

This issue is most urgent, because it keeps me from working on this site :
- it is a multi-museum platform, which is still under intense development

Thank you for your help with this issue
Best regards,

Hi Francesco,

For the image sizing it is a bug that is also reported in WordPress and we created an erratatum:

https://toolset.com/errata/image-block-displays-wrong-image-size-with-wordpress-6-7/

For the update button misalignment in content templates we are working to release a fix soon.

But at the time being the best course of action is that you revert back to version prior to 6.7 of WordPress.

Thanks.

Thank you Christopher for your prompt answer.
I have revert to the WP 6.4 version I know works well with my site configutrations, and I will wait for you to give me the info on the update which will fix the misalignment in content templates. WP autoupdate is cancelled on my Siteground server.
As for the image sizing, I will deal with it then - maybe WordPress 7.2 will bring a fix.

Best regards,
Francesco De Grandi

Thanks, Francesco,

We have been informed that WordPress version 6.7.1 has fixed the image issue. But I suggest that you test that on a clone of the website and do not update the live website.

We appreciate it if you could give us confirmation that it fixed the issue.

Thanks.

We also released a hotfix that fixes the issue of the update button misalignment.

There is no separate version, please head over https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

Click the download Toolset manually link and download the Toolset blocks and access plugins and install them on your website and that should fix the issue.

Thanks.

Hi Christopher,
Yes, the misalignment of the Update button in Toolset Content Templates is fixed by the Tooset-blocks 1.6.18 and the Tooset-Access 2.9.2 updates.
No, the WP 6.71 update has not fixed the image size issue : but the recommanded workaround (https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/61847#comment:23) did fix it.

The site muselink.ch with WP 6.71 works now correctly.
Thank you for your rapid and efficient help : it is so important for us to know that we can count on your expertise.
