WooCommerce views is overriding my theme settings for displaying the product archive pages. Product pages are left unharmed. What should I do about this? WooCommerce views settings are set to basic or default.
If I deactivate WooCommerce views everything is back to normal as it should be, but in that case I can't use the WooCommerce views attribute shortcodes which I need in a different view.
Current URL with WooCommerce Views enabled: hidden link
When disabling WooCommerce views, the same page looks as it should and like defined in theme settings. Zephyr > Theme settings > Shop > Shop page. Please notice the difference in design of the products cards (see: attached screenshot). Also the filters and product counts total are left out which is correct.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I can confirm my settings are correct as shown in my screenshot. Also no (product) archives available as well. Please see the second screenshot. What should I do now?
Thanks for getting back at me. They're not the same actually, sorry. I f you look closer you'll see that the layout is different. Please hover over a product. Also the price should not be visible with the grid layout used with my theme.
I've been going around in circles trying to fix this but have been unable to.
The problem is that WooCommerce ships with a standard template for product archives.
Your theme ships with a custom template for product archives, which overrides it.
The Toolset WooCommerce Views plugin isn't recognising the custom template from your theme, and so the standard WC template is being used instead, as it is not possible to specify the theme template in the settings.
There is no such problem with, say, the twentynineteen theme, where custom archive templates *are* recognised and can be chosen in the settings.
I've now had to pass this to my colleagues in second tier to see if they can identify the root cause, and I'll get back to you with their feedback.
Thanks for getting back at me and of course, the effort. Look like the issue is not a hand for the single products pages which uses a similar approach and which is also recognised by Toolset right? Like in the screenshot. If so, I understand what you mean:)
It has been passed to the developers, although the developer responsible for WooCommerce Views is on vacation this week, so I have it on my list to discuss with him on Monday when he returns.
So I don't have any update for you just get, but I'll keep pushing to get it fixed.
Any progress worth mentioning on the issue? My client is pushing me to fix the issue within the upcoming week. Is it possible to provide me with a status update?
