I'm trying to add the archive template I created into either this page (hidden link) or doing the opposite adding the same design into the archive page (hidden link) but both aren't achieving what I want. Either the toolset block into my page doesn't show the books or the DIVI block into the archive page isn't full width like the original design. What's happening?
Hello and thank you for contacting Toolset support.
I am really sorry, but I do not understand what do you want to achieve. Can you please elaborate a little more on your question so I can better understand it? Sometimes screenshots illustrating what you mean may go a long way to clarify what words fail to transmit, so if you like, make use of “upload an image” below the comment area.
In the meantime, please note that this is a regular page(hidden link). It cannot hold an archive template, it can only include views. Whereas this is an archive page(hidden link), that needs an archive template for customization.
Ok then what is the solution? I want the archive page to have the same look as the regular page?
Also when new books are created with the toolset form how can we set a specific field as the name of the page instead of the gibberish created by the form? Example the title of the book? (see image below).
Example link: hidden link
Well, you can't really make an archive page look like a regular page. But you can do the opposite.
From a WordPress perspective, an archive page, by design, will display a list of posts. Whereas a regular page can only its own content.
From a Toolset perspective, an archive template can ONLY be assigned to an archive. Whereas a view can display any list of posts. And you can use it whenever you want. Inside a page, another view, a content template, or inside an archive template.
From what I can see on your site so far, it seems that you have created a view and you used it on the regular page(/2021-books/) and in the archive page(/book/). I assume it is an archive template from Divi, right?
I'll need to get a closer look at your website to understand what has been done so far. Can I log in to your website and check it closely? Your next reply will be private to let you share credentials safely. ** Make a database backup before sharing credentials. **
