I am trying to: View a custom post type single page

I visited this URL: hidden link

I expected to see: The page with the fields I've set up in the layout

Instead, I got: a white page

When activating the debug information via WP_DEBUG, I get no errors related to Toolset. Only HyperDB (So that I can use multiple database servers with my multisite network) throws the following:
Notice: Undefined variable: write in ..../wp-content/db.php on line 565
Notice: Undefined variable: write in ..../wp-content/db.php on line 600

Hi Kordian,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

I would be more than happy to assist you with this issue.

Could you remove all the types shortcode from the layout and let me know if the layout renders on the frontend or if you are still getting the white screen.

Sometimes small errors can cause this and I would like to check if there is anything wrong with the types shortcodes.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks,
Shane

Hey,

I've removed everything from the layout but the error persists. Why can't I see any error messages anywhere?

Any advice on how to resolve the white screen?

Thanks

Hi Kordian,

I would like to take a look at the website itself.

Would it be possible for me to get admin access to the website so that I can have a look ?

Maybe i'll be able to find something that could explain why this is occurring.

The private fields will be enabled for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hey,

I've replaced the file but no luck, the error persists and I can't access any posts with layouts in place.

Please advise

Hi Kordian,

The reason why this is happening is because the layout is actually empty
hidden link

If you were to start adding some layout elements then you will notice that the page will start appearing.

I would suggest going through our getting started with layouts guide in order to start using our layouts plugin.

Please let me know if this helps.

Hey,

thanks! I didn't readd them after I've removed them for testing. All works great with the patch in place. Thanks!

Another question: is there any possibility to have the main site elements (Menu, Header, Footer) from divi shown by default instead of having to recreate them in the layout? (Incl. parent layouts?). I simply want to design how the specific post gets displayed, not the whole page.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Kordian,

What you can do is to create a parent layout with the elements from Divi and add a child layout area.

Then when you go to create a child layout simply assign it to the parent you just created.

This way you won't need to recreate it each time.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Shane
