Hi, this is a follow up for this thread, which was closed by the bot: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/when-opening-an-image-in-lightbox-the-close-icon-gets-duplicated-a-lot-of-times/
I did some more testing, and it seems that the slider under the large featured image causes this problem. When I remove that, the problem is solved...
Hello and thank you for contacting Toolset support.
Can I get access to your website to check this further? Your next reply will be private to let you share credentials safely. ** Make a database backup before sharing credentials. **
I might need to take a copy of the website for further debugging, please let me know if that's fine with you.
The copy has failed to build for me too. So, I took only a copy of the database. But, I'll still need the themes and plugins folder to build the copy in my local server. I assume that you use cPanel or some other user interface to manage your hosting, please create a zip file from the themes and plugins folder inside wp-content and share it. Your next reply will be private to let you share the download URL safely.
I built a copy of your website locally, and I could not reproduce the issue in a minimal setup(2021theme+Toolset plugins). The issue was not reproduced. In fact, the lightbox did not open at all. With your current theme, the issue was not reproduced either.
After activating the W3 Total Cache and Autoptimize plugins, the issue reappeared. It seems to happen when the Autoptimize plugin.
I have also tried to recover the image block to no avail until I choose a post that has an image to preview with. Check this screenshot hidden link
So, I get back to the website, and I recreated the image block, then I disabled Javascript optimization in Settings->Autoptimize, but that did not help. The issue is still reproduced even after purging the cache.
I want to try disabling both plugins on the website, and I wanted to make sure that you have a recent database backup before I perform it. Please let me know when can you take a recent database backup.
Hi Jamal,
Sure, no problem. Backups are recent.
Thank you. The issue persisted after deactivating both plugins. I suspect that the issue comes from the mobile slider that is by default hidden on the desktop. I am going to make a small test on a clean install and I'll get back to you.
The view in question is used with a shortcode:
[wpv-view name="artworks-slider-mob" wpvrelatedto="[wpv-post-id item='@artist-artwork.parent']"]
I was able to reproduce this issue on a clean install. It seems to happen when a slider is hidden using CSS.
I'll get back to you about it as soon as possible.
The issue is now escalated to our 2nd Tier for further debugging. I'll get back to you as soon as we have something to share.
Hello Marcel, thank you getting back to check on this. Unfortunately, the developers did not fix this yet. I'am checking them again about it and I'll get back to you as soon as we have something to share.
Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
