I am trying to: add a Repeatable Group to a Field Group on a CPT

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to be able to save the field group.

Instead, I get a message saying "There has been a critical error on your website."

If it helps, I recorded a screencast here: hidden link showing the problem

Hi Patrick,

Thank you for getting in touch.

In order to understand this issue, we would need you to enable the wordpress debugging. To do this please follow the instructions in the link below and then go through the process of creating the repeatable field group once more.

Please let me know what exactly the error is that pops up.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Thanks for your help.

Here's the error message:

Hi Patrick,

Thank you for the information.

I was able to resolve this by remaking the custom field group. As you can see i've deleted your original one and creates this one below.

Ofcourse you will need reconfigure it for your specific needs but this is to demonstrate that the Repeatable Field Groups are now working.

Thanks,
Shane

But when I try and add another field to the same group that you just created - a Single Line text field, I get the same error.

Hi Patrick,

Given that this is a multisite it might be a little tricky to debug the issue online.

Would it be possible if I installed the duplicator plugin and grabbed a copy of the site to test out locally to see if the same issue remains ?

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Yes please do install Duplicator. We host with Kinsta. Should I also ask them if they are aware of any issues with setting up Toolset and multisite on their servers?

Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Shane,

Working on the site over the weekend, I could see various error messages appearing when editing field groups, adding fields and generally working with Toolset.

However, the issue does appear to be due to the site running on a multisite install as you suspected. I replicated the site myself on a standalone install and have had no errors whatsoever.

I will close this ticket although the problem remains unsolved with multiple errors appearing running the latest stable versions of the Toolset plugins on a multisite install on an Nginx server (hosted on Kinsta).
