[Resolved] what would be the best way to create a “group gift” product?

Hey,

I am trying to create a group gift. It should work this way:

1. user would create a "group gift" for say a birthday of his boy/girl. it would act as a wallet which would later enable the bday boy/girl to purchase products in the store. there would be some custom fields added. like the boy/girl name, birthday date, etc.
2. the group gift would be shareable, meaning you can allow other people to topup the wallet (there are wallet plugins for woocommerce. also an "account funds" plugin: https://woocommerce.com/products/account-funds/).
3. the would be able to add a custom greeting.
4. once the birthday date arrives, the gift will close and the boy/girl will be able to use the money for purchasing stuff in the store.

am i dreaming? 🙂

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - Toolset forms offer the feature using which you can create the WooCommerce Product but it's limited.

You should check the following Doc where you will find the section that explains "Which product fields you can use in Toolset forms":

As I understand - the idea here is to collect the funds using the wallet and later allow the person to use this collected fund to purchase products from the store. This is a broad idea specifically belongs to WooCommerce where you already acknowledged that you have the plugin in mind to use to manage the funds:

I would suggest you should check your requirement with WooCommerce experts as I believe they would be the right person who will guide you in the right direction as they would be better people who can suggest you what extension you need to use as Toolset does not offer such features.
