[Resolved] WHat is the difference between “Any” and “All” in tehtaxonomy view filter?

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
What is the difference between "Any of the following" and "ALL of the following" with view's filters

Solution:
Any of the following:
=> Choose taxonomy values from the checkboxes (like in the screenshot above). This is good in cases where you want to load posts that belong to specific taxonomy.

All of the following:
=> Return posts that belong to all the selected taxonomy terms.

Tell us what you are trying to do?

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

In the query filter for a View (see attached image), what is the difference between "Any of the following" and "All of the following" ?

In the example I uploaded, i want to display all posts with the taxonomy "home" selected, that had a custom field start date greater or equal to today.

I would intuitively choose "All of the following" and just select the "home" taxonomy, but whats the difference between choosing that and "Any of the following"?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - Here is the explanation for both of the filter options:

Any of the following:
Choose taxonomy values from the checkboxes (like in the screenshot above). This is good in cases where you want to load posts that belong to specific taxonomy.

All of the following:
Return posts that belong to all the selected taxonomy terms.

Hi Minesh - thanks so much. Its so obvious now. I have been using Toolset for years and not had this question, I am not sure why it suddenly was confusing to me. LOL! Thanks again 🙂

However, I'm a having an issue where a View isn't pulling in all the correct posts based on my queries, but I'll open a new support ticket for that.
