This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I am seeing a fatal error call to member funciton get_external_repo on null

Solution: Activate Types, then go to /wp-admin/update-core.php and click "Check for Updates". You may need to do this more than once.

I'm getting an error on all of my sites that use Types after yesterday's core update. Is this a known issue?

Hi, we have received several reports over the last hour or so and our team is actively investigating the issue. I have linked your ticket to the ongoing issue and I'll give you an update as soon as possible.

Please try this workaround:
Activate Types
Go to the WP updates screen ( /wp-admin/update-core.php )
Click "Check for Updates"
Return to the plugins page

If the problem isn't resolved, please click "Check for updates" a couple more times.

Let me know if the problem is not completely resolved.

That worked. Thank you!
