hi—
i have created a view that pulls in content from my calendar posts and it works great for single events. when i have an event that is recurring, all of the events are listed in the view. I only want one event to be listed in the view.

i found this thread that seems to address the issue, however the fix does not work for my site: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/the-events-calendar-recurrring-events-view/

i think my issue is the same as that user, however i have not been messing around with the "_EventStartDateUTC"

what do i need to do to get these recurring events to only appear once in my list view? view can be seen here: hidden link

many thanks,
emily

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - the reference ticket you shared is related to how you can display the future event. Regarding displaying the single occurrence of the recurring event, could please be in touch with Events calendar plugin support and ask them is there a way do so or how we can modify the query to display the single occurrence.

Once you get information from Events Calendar support, please share information here so I can able to guide you in the right direction.

hi minesh—
the plugin has a setting to limit recurring items to just the first one in its own list view (see image). is that something we can pull from?

Could you please share access details so I can see that if the setting you shared is going to us.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I would additionally need your permission to de- and re-activate Plugins and the Theme, and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important. If you agree to this, please use the form fields I have enabled below to provide temporary access details (wp-admin and FTP).

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

Could you please check now. I've added the query filter for post parent as you can see with the following screenshot:
=> hidden link

I can see now duplicate events are removed.

I took the reference to remove the recurring events from following posts:
