[Closed] Want to change the "From" name in email notifications (create new user)

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I tried to change the "From" name in the email notification to my company name. After adding to functions.php I still see my default "first name" as Alperen and not the company name..
Is there any documentation that you are following?

Hello, can you provide a bit more information?
- Are you using an SMTP mail plugin on your site? If so, can you test without the SMTP plugin active and compare the results?
- In Gmail, you can click "Show original" in the 3-dot menu (screenshot attached) to see more information about the email recipients and sender. Is the email address of the sender accurate, as in the settings for the notification? If so, is it possible you already have a contact with that email address in your Gmail contacts list? What is the name associated with that contact?
- Are you using the "Send test email" function to test this, or are you submitting the Form to generate these test emails?

Hi Christian, sorry for my late response.

Currently the plugin WP Mail SMPT is active but there I have edited already the "sender" name to company name too..

Attached you can see the origin screenshot - I'm using the "send test mail" function, could that be the problem?

Okay that's unusual. I've run several tests on a live site, both by using the "Send a test email" function and by submitting the Form from the front-end of the site. I've changed the notification email sender "Name" information a few times, and the emails are always sent from the Name I specified in the notification settings (screenshots attached). So in my local tests, the notification seems to be accurate. The only thing I can think is that there must be some kind of interference from a theme, plugin or custom code.

As a test, can you temporarily activate a default theme like Twenty Twenty One, deactivate all custom code snippets in Toolset > Settings > Custom Code tab, and deactivate all plugins except Types, Forms, and Blocks or Views? Then test the email notification again. This will help eliminate other external factors and test the functionality of Toolset plugins alone.

If you'd like, I can create a clone of the site and install it on a test environment to run these test myself. Let me know how you would like to proceed.
