[Resolved] Views “Used on” column

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
What is the Used on option in view mean

Solution:
What this means exactly is that if I go to a page called "Page A" and edit that page, then insert the shortcode for a view and save it.

If I go to the Toolset -> Views and check the Used on column then it will tell me that its being used on "Page A" See Screenshot

In the admin area when you are looking at your list of Views there is a "Used on" column where you can scan for wherever the View is used.

Does this only include places where the View is inserted with the Toolset View widget? Or does it include places where it is inserted using a shortcode as well?

Hi Ben,

Thank you for getting in touch.

This actually only tells you which page or post a view is inserted into, not when it is added to a widget or content template.

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks for your reply Shane.

Can you confirm what you mean please? Your reply has confused me a little bit!

The mentioned column is telling you which page a View is inserted on, does this mean in every way? For example, inserted into a page using an Elementor widget, or pasted into a page using a shortcode?

I hope this makes a bit more sense.

For the elementor widget i'm not sure of this, however I do know that if it is placed in the content area of a page then it will show up.

If the elementor widget is being saved in a post meta of that page then it should show up as well. Let me know if this was a bit clearer for you or if further information and examples are needed.

I would be more than happy to clarify any questions for you.

Thanks,
Shane
