This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: I would like to create a Slider View using images from the current post's custom fields.
Solution: Currently the Slider View is designed to generate slides from multiple posts, but not custom fields within a single post. The functionality you describe has been requested in the past in several other tickets, but has not yet been implemented by our developers. The only way to accomplish what you are trying to do is by writing custom code.
