[Resolved] Views is crashing my site causing http 500 error

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Updates for Views and Forms were published, and updating Views alone produced a fatal error.

Solution:
The two plugins needed to both be updated. A fix will be added so we don't get a repetition of such issues.

I am trying to:
Update and use the latest version of views

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
hidden link - the plugin is now deactivated. If I dont deactivate WP-views the site crashes.

I expected to see:
The site up and running.

Instead, I got:
An http 500 error.

This is the text siteground hosting support gave me.

---------
Your plugin wp-views was re-activated which is why your website went down again. I have deactivated it again:
Code:
Plugin 'wp-views' deactivated.
Success: Deactivated 1 of 1 plugins.

And your website went fully operational. Please make sure to not activate the plugin before you have consulted with the plugin developers about the issue. Alternatively, you can remove the plugin and search for a similar plugin at the official WordPress website.

I wasn't able to upload the debug information previously since I was on a mobile device. If you need it let me know how I can get it to you privately.

Hi Andrew

Did you just update Views after yesterday's release?

We also published an update to Forms, and it is essential that you update both plugins, and not just Views, if you also have Forms on your site.

Was that the issue?

My issue is resolved now. Thank you!

This was the perfect solution! Thank-you! It worked on several of my sites!

I still have a few questions though:
1. How were we supposed to know about updating the plugins through the Commercial Tab?
2. Why was my WP Views plugin showing as WP Views Lite? I never have installed lite editions of the plugin so I have no idea how it got there?

Thanks so much for all your help.

Hi Andrew

It shouldn't have happened, it was an error that the release went out where you update one plugin and not the other and it produce a fatal PHP error, and it hopefully won't happen again.

The lite version of Views is available to WPML clients, you shouldn't see that as a Toolset customer, although I think there was an installer bug related to this some time ago, so if you haven't updated for a while it could be the residual effect of that.

In any case, if you see it now, let me know.
