Hi,

I had Toolset Views displayed on my website a couple weeks ago. They would display a list of joboffers (Post type called "Vacatures"). After not checking in on my website for around 3 weeks, I came back to my views displaying (IMAGE 1). I thought updating my plugins would help, but it didn't. I tried clearing the cache and re-roling to a "revision" of that page all without any luck. I have a backup file of the site from 4 weeks ago, but I can't upload it because of the 256mb upload/import limit on WordPress.

I don't know how to fix this, which is the reason why I wrote this ticket.

I hope you would be able to help me, thanks in advance.

Here is a link to our website where the issues can be seen (hopefully): hidden link
I also included a screenshot of my debug window, because there is no such thing as a "debug information box" in the window I got.

Minesh already has access to my WordPress site, so I think it might by handy for him to help me solve the problem

Hi there

Minesh is off at the moment, and the ticket you have with him is resolved. When tickets are closed the private details are automatically removed for your security.

So could I please ask you to provide credentials again, in the private reply I'm creating for you now.

Sorry, but it seems the password you shared is not correct.

Could you please check? You can edit your private reply and update the details there.

Hi,

Could you please provide your e-mail address so I can add you as a new admin and give you a new password?
I think that's the easiest way to do it now.

Hi Nigel,

I added your email and you should be getting an email about it.
If not, I want to send you the password in a private message.

Thanks for that, I've been able to log in to your site.

It is more clear to me now what exactly you are reporting.

The "Content Template debug" message appears on the page because at Toolset > Settings > Front-end Content you have Theme Support for Content Templates debugging turned on (screenshot).

I've de-activated that, and now the message no longer appears.

Hi Nigel,

I mean yes the message is gone, however the views still return the wrong type of content. They should display job offers which are listed under the custom post type: Vacatures. Which doesn't happen now. So thank you for fixing the error message, but the problem that I've contacted you for still remains unsolved. Perhaps I wasn't clear in my initial question, sorry if that's the case.

I do really appreciate your help.

OK, sorry, I didn't understand the issue, then.

Can you clarify what View is displaying the wrong content? Where exactly is it?

Perhaps you can share a screenshot pointing at exactly what I'm supposed to be looking at so I can locate it.

Actually there are multiple, One on the home page and one on the "vacatures zoeken" page.

This is what the home page looks: See refference image 1 and 2. The view that is displaying the "Uitgelichte vacatures" in image 2 displays the way it is used to, however the view that is supposed to display "Recente vacatures" (most recent joboffers in english) doesn't display at all, see image 1.

We also have an issue in the "Vacature zoeken" page. See image 3. The view doesn't display at all either. When entering the front-end editor however, it shows me image 4,5,6 and 7. Image 6 and 7 are examples of how we want the "vactures" to be displayed in this view, however what we see in the front-end editor doesn't seem to translate to the front-end view. Image 4 is supossed to display a filter to filter through the "vacatures", which it won't right now. Image 5 is a broken version of the same type of block as you can see in image 6 and 7.

I hope that this clarifies what I would love to get fixed, because like I said earlier, it was working perfectly 4 weeks prior.

(quick summary of what the problems are that I would love to see fixed: the view displaying "recente vacatures" on the home page and the view displaying "vacatures zoeken" which included "vacatures" and a filter to filter through those.)

Thanks in advance for your help.

The "recente vacatures" View block seems to have been deleted from the page where it was created.

I added a plugin to be able to query the database directly.

It appears that the recent vacatures View was originally created by adding a View block to the page with ID 256, which is the "Vacatures Zoeken" page. But that page no longer contains the recent vacatures View block, it must have been deleted.

It looks like it may still be present in post revisions of that page, so you could try reverting to an earlier version to see if you can recover it, but I can't say for sure if that will work because I'm not sure post revisions restore post meta correctly at the same time.

If that doesn't work, you could try restoring a backup of the site from when this was working (4 weeks ago, you mentioned). If that is not possible then I'm afraid you will need to create a new View. (When creating Views with the block editor, they need to be made somewhere that uses the block editor. Ordinarily that would be on the page where the View will be shown, but as you are inserting the Views into pages built with Elementor that can mean a redundant page that was used to create the View. You may want to create an empty Content Template and insert a new View there, so that you don't accidentally delete pages that were used to create the Views.)

As for the View that is currently on the Vacatures Zoeken page, when editing the page in the back end I see that all of the grid blocks appear broken, and trying to recover them doesn't work.

I have a meeting in an hour with one of the developers and I'm going to check if any of the recent changes may have triggered this and what is the best way to proceed.

I'll report back again after that.

They have requested a copy of the site to be able to investigate those broken blocks.

You already have All in One WP Migration installed so I'm taking a backup with that, and I'll share with the developers along with the relevant details.

I'll update you again when I have some feedback from them.

Sorry it has taken a while to get back to you about this.

The developer that looked into this could not find a way to restore the View on the page Vacatures Zoeken, which is currently filled with broken grid cells. It's not clear what went wrong.

So on my copy of your site I edited the page and clicked the Revisions link, and I skipped back several versions of the page (to mid-October) when I found a version of the page that was working normally.

Rather than deleting the View and starting again, it looks like you should be able to recover a working version from the page revisions, and make any tweaks you need so that it works as you currently intend.

Don't worry, thanks for coming back to me.

I honestly don't think that Toolset can offer a comfortable and stable basis for my website if it acts like this all of a sudden. Revising the page once a week is not something I would like to do, therefore I've decided to change my approach in making creating this website, which doesn't include Toolset. Regardless, thanks for your patience and help and I wish you the best.

Kind regards,

Roderik
