I am trying to: filter custom post types using views 2.9-beta with the WordPress Block Editor

I expected to see: "filter by post status"

Instead, I got: no ability to filter yet

I know this just Beta, but I thought I'd flag it up just in case you forgot 😉

Hi Michael,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

I did a quick check on the beta for you and saw that this was still there. See Screenshot

Are you not able to see the post status filter on your end.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane, yes the filter is there on the back-end, but the beta provides the ability to build the view within the block editor UI. I can't see any settings for it in the block editor (see screenshot).

Hi Michael,

I believe that is because the developers haven't implemented the query filter section in this part of the view yet.

I suspect that it will be added in the future as the Beta progresses.

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks

I want to remind the developers that they need to add it. Will they see this message or is there another way to tell them? (there is a message on the Toolset website requesting feedback about the Beta)

Hi Michael,

I would suggest filling out the form for feedback on the Beta,

However this is a core functionality of views so it has to make it in the final release. So i dont think you need to worry about this one.

Thanks,
Shane
