[Resolved] View > Filter > hidden check boxes become visible when another one is clicked
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: I have chosen "Only show available options for each input" in this custom search View, but some checkboxes that produce no results are displayed when one of their sibling checkboxes is checked.
Solution: The filter seems to have become misconfigured and should be recreated. In the Search and Pagination panel of the View editor screen, delete the checkboxes filter control. Next, delete its corresponding Query Filter, then recreate the filter control in Search and Pagination.

I am trying to make a filter for a view. The filter consists of a select list (categories) and a checkbox group (checkbox group in types). I have set "Show only available options for each input" checkboxes: hide.
It works so far:

If I change to a category in the select list that does not contain all checkboxes, it still works.

Now the problem. If I now click on a checkbox all other checkboxes become visible, even those that have no content.:

I hope you can help me, i should go online in a few days.
By the way, this is my first project with toolset types, views, CRED and I love it!
Christian is currently unavailable today but will be back tomorrow to continue working through this with you. Based on your screenshots that you've provided your settings are correct for what you want to acheive.
However your filters have some amount of custom styling. Is there any Javascript involved in the filters or are they purely css filters.
Secondly if you remove all the customizations from the filter does it work as intended?
Hello Christian, when I click on "I still need assistance" I only have a text area for Reply. Can I email you the credentials?
But I will give you more information:
I have already made a website-backup and duplicated the view.

Okay I have made some changes on the test View and it seems to be working correctly now. Basically I removed the firmenkategorie filter control and deleted the firmenkategorie filter. Then I recreated the firmenkategorie filter control, and the system created a new corresponding Query Filter. Please check the View now. If I select the Finanzen & Bereitung taxonomy term, then check the checkbox Kundenverkehr, I only see 2 results and one other checkbox. The other checkboxes that produce no results are hidden.
Maybe this can help other customers:
I did the same. I deleted both filters -> saved -> created 1st Filter -> saved -> created 2nd filter -> saved -> worked 🙂
