I am trying to:
Using a parent field select. In a form to edit "city" there is a parent field "country" of a relationship "country-cities". When editing a city, I use the select to change the country, and works ok. But if then I decide to change the country to the original value, the select says "Can't find the search value !!!!!!" and I have to abandon the form and enter again to see the original value.
Example:
I run the form to edit "Paris", and in the form, the country select has the value "FRANCE". Then I change the select country to "ITALY". Select works ok. But, before submit the form, then I decide change back the country to "FRANCE": then I start typiing FRANCE, and the select only shows: "No results found" and is not possible to select FRANCE value Again!
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: [Credentials moved to private message]
then enter in the form: hidden link
I expected to see:
You will be able to change the country, but then you won't be able to return to the original country on the select....
Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
I wanted to check this closely, but I was not able to login to your website. The login page takes me to wp-login.php but I am getting a 502 Bad Gateway error. Can you double-check if it is working for you? Or maybe my Moroccan IP is blocked behind a geolocation firewall.
The login page is working. I tested the page from outside my network and get logged without problem.
The issue I have with select-relationship parent fields, occurs in all the forms in my site, a lot of differents forms and relationships works that way. And all the forms works fine, but this problem. May be is there a general setting that cause that?
My apologies, the access still did not work for me, It did not work for a colleague from Jamaica too:
- wp-login.php => 502 error.
- wp-admin => 403 error.
I am sorry, but I can't do anything before checking the error. Please create a new admin user for me, and try to login with it before sharing it in your next reply, which will be private too.
My current IP is 105.158.90.17 but I am afraid it may change before I get to log in to your site.
I might need to take a copy of your site for further debugging and to overcome any possible IP blocking later. Let me know if it is ok for you that I take a copy of your website.
What about disabling the IP restriction for a while until we get the issue resolved? Let me know if this is possible.
Or you can share a copy of your website and let me work on it locally. If you agree, we prefer Duplicator packages, please use filter to reduce the size of the copy as described in this video around 1:00 hidden link
If Duplicator fails to create a copy, we'll need a database copy/export, plugins, and theme folders, all in a zip file.
Your next reply will be private to let you share the download link safely.
Finally I decided to share a Duplicator Package: hidden link
Then if you use any administrator user to access to any of the forms when there is a select when you can see this behavior (search results never contain the initial value). Example form: hidden link
Just to let you know that I have managed to build a copy of your website and I can see the issue. The AJAX call that returns the list of possible countries does not return the current parent country. I need to dig into this further before drawing any conclusions.
We'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Hello! I was able to reproduce the same scenario on a clean install and I am not sure if we can consider this a bug or an expected result. Let me approach our 2nd Tier for confirmation and get back to you.
Checking my escalated threads I see this issue should already have been resolved, but please let me know if you still see any problems after updating.
If you don't see the update in your plugins page from the custom Toolset installer page click the Check for Updates button. It is also available on the downloads page at toolset.com/account/downloads.
