I am trying to: create the front end editor for a CPT Eventi to create a new event or to modify an existing event.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: the WYSIWYG Editor with all parameters and the content.

Instead, I got: A blank section. To display the WYSIWYG Editor it needs to click on "Text" tab and after on "Visual" Tab.

What should I do to solve the issue?

I notice that on that page the browser console is full of JavaScript errors.

The first step in identifying the problem will be to try to isolate the cause(s) of those errors, which means de-activating non-Toolset plugins and switching theme if necessary and testing the page to see if it works, and then re-introducing the other products to see which trigger the errors.

Hopefully you have a staging site where you can test that...

Hi Nigel,
I don't have a staging site, but I will create it soon on my localhost and I will test it using your indications!
I will reply here if I don't found any solutions.
Thank you

Hi Francesco,

Checking in here. Have you gotten a chance to test this out as yet?

Thanks,
Shane

Hi,
now I'm trying to create a backup to install it in localhost.
But I have seen that the site has other issues... I see that I'm not logged in the CSS style is not correctly compiled and the site is not displayed as I see when I'm logged in... (see the attached images)
This appends after the Type, View, Maps, Access update...

About this last question, the issue was generated by Wp Speed of Light plugin.

Now, I'm still trying to find the issue about the WYSIWYG Editor in front end.
Also, when I'm trying to edit the Author CPT post using Form, when I click the "Save" button it shows the following error message "L'articolo non è stato salvato a causa del seguente problema:" (The article was not saved due to the following problem:) but I don't know what is the problem...

Hi Francesco,

Once you're able to disable all your non-toolset plugins please test the form again.

If the WYSIWYG field shows up fine then there is a plugin that is causing the issue. We can have a look at the form not submitting once we're able to find out why the WYSIWYG elements are not showing up on the form.

As Nigel mentioned, I too can confirm that there are quite a few Javascript errors on this page which is the root cause of the issue.

I see that your site is heavy customized so it may take some time for you to disable the plugins without breaking the site. However once these errors are clear then you should see you form showing up fine.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi,
I remember that last May when I open the "create new event" or "edit event" front end editor, and the WYSIWYG Editor was blanc, after I clicked on "Text" tab and after on "Visual" Tab appears the following error message "Failed to load plugin url: hidden link".
Then, I have searched on google the "/js/tinymce/langs/it.js" file and I have uploaded it on its folder in the site.
And then, now I don't have the error message, but the issue that I have with the WYSIWYG Editor that is blanc is not solved.
Could it be helped this news?

I have tested an old backup of the subsite like a single site in localhost and the WYSIWYG Editor works perfectly, but not all plugins are the same in both sites... I will try to install the same plugins in localhost.

Hi Francesco,

Unless the Javascript errors are cleared up in the console then the WYSIWYG is going to be blank.

This is because it needs javascript to load up the elements of the field.

Thanks,
Shane
