[Resolved] Using Dropdown Filter options with Relationship Post, Dropdown Doesn’t Show All

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I would like to show all the options in a custom search filter, but some do not appear.

Solution: Use the Search and Pagination editor's "Let me choose individual settings manually" option to disable the "Only show available inputs" feature.

I am trying to: create a view that would allow the user to see all dropdown filter options even if there isn't a dropdown available with that certain relationship. If the user does select a dropdown option that doesn't have a valid return I would like to display that message.

As of right now, I am hiding toolset's dropdown filter options and am setting the dropdown options via jquery. First the user selects a region and then they are to select a pressure type. The option where I am wanting this to take effect is when a user selects the West Region and then Brush as the pressure.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: I wanted the ability for my users to still select any pressure, but if there isn't any valid returns to display a message that states that.

Instead, I got: In my relationship, there is no pressures that are brush for the west. Currently, that option doesn't return anything and just displays all.

My last ticket was closed before I had a chance to reply. I was not sitting at my desk and by the time I got back it was closed.

Hello, did you try the option "Only show available inputs"? You can find this option in this View's Custom Search settings inside the Advanced Options. https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/front-page-filters/advanced-settings-custom-search/#dependent-parametric-search

This should update the filters such that combined filters will always produce some result.

My issue is resolved now. Thank you! This option did work for me, but the way it was quickly explained in the first ticket didn't make as much sense.
