This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
How to set a template content to taxonomy? I have create a view to display all terms belonging to the taxonomy
But when I click on a specific term, i'm not redirected to the default taxonomy archive.
Solution:
I have achieved the same results without any trouble, can you please confirm the below steps:
1. Created Taxonomy View and selected one taxonomy -- see attached screenshot: https://cdn.toolset.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/577869-View_2.png?x41285
2. In View’s >> Content template section >> I have used following Shortcode:
[wpv-taxonomy-link]
3. Inserted the above View in the page.
4. It is displaying terms title with link. When I click one of term link it is displaying posts of that term.
Please note that if you want to:
1. List Taxonomy terms and display additional content then please create Taxonomy view.
2. Then create WordPress Archive View if you want to modify taxonomy term archive page.

Hello,
I have a new taxonomy : groupe, I want to set a template content to that taxonomy
I have create a view to display all terms belonging to this taxonomy : hidden link
But when I click on a specific term, i'm not redirected to the default taxonomy archive
Thank you
Thank you for contacting Toolset support. The link you have provided is restricted and I don't have enough permissions to view the content on the page.
I have achieved the same results without any trouble, can you please confirm the below steps:
1. Created Taxonomy View and selected one taxonomy -- see attached screenshot.
2. In View’s >> Content template section >> I have used following Shortcode: [wpv-taxonomy-link]
3. Inserted the above View in the page.
4. It is displaying terms title with link. When I click one of term link it is displaying posts of that term.
If you need further help on this, please provide some back-end and front-end screenshots of the View.
Why are you creating separate Content template and assign on Groupe? You can directly use the Content template in: Taxonomy View >> Loop Output Editor >> Enable Use Content template (see screenshot) >> Add your content in Templates for this View section.
Please note that if you want to:
1. List Taxonomy terms and display additional content then please create Taxonomy view like I have created in my last response.
2. Then create WordPress Archive View if you want to modify taxonomy term archive page (currently you are using only CT I think as I can see in screenshot).
If the above is not the required solution then please provide step by step process of what you want to achieve with backend screenshots and frontend links (unrestricted content)
To modify default archive page, you need to create a WordPress Archive View for taxonomy. Please go to Toolset >> WordPress Archive >> Add New >> and setup the WordPress Archive View as shown in attached screenshot.
Please try it, I hope this will help you to get desired results. If still any confusion, please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP Login info) to your site (preferably staging site), so that I can look into your setup and check the issue.
Your next answer will be private which means only you and I have access to it.
=== Please backup your database and website ===
✙ I would additionally need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme, and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important.
Thanks for sending login info. I have thoroughly checked this issue. After logging into your site, I found that you are not using Toolset Types. So I assume you want to show Term Fields that are generated with ACF plugin.
- I created an Archive View and added some standard Term fields into it along with some text you can see it here: hidden link
- And it displays it here: hidden link
But Toolset cannot show Term Fields of the ACF plugin. It does show Post Fields that you create with ACF but not the Term Fields like you have here: hidden link
So now you have 2 options:
1. Ask the ACF plugin support if they have any shortcodes to display Term Fields into WP, then you can add those into WP Archive View that I have just created above. In their docs I only see this one shortcode: hidden link
2. OR alternatively, use Toolset Types and then you will be able to Control ACF Term Fields >> with Types and then the fields will be able to display in Views -- please note in that case ACF can’t use those term fields after Types will have control over it.
If you would like to go with 2nd option, please let me know after installing Types and I can show you how to do that my taking 2 Term Fields as example. Thanks
That’s technically a different issue, also this ticket is closed. Please kindly open a new ticket for this 2nd issue and we would be happy to help, please assign that ticket directly to me. This will help other users with similar problems to find solutions when searching the forum, We do not handle multiple issues in the same ticket as per support policy. https://toolset.com/toolset-support-policy/
In the new ticket, please share the link of the Archive page etc. so we can check.
Thank you
