I am trying to: I just went live with the site hidden link and users can register through this link hidden link then they receive an email with their login info.

But when they go login, through the home page then login button on top right corner, they put their info but it says the username or password is wrong. I thought it was the users who weren't able to copy and paste the information correct, but I even sign up as a demo and the error occurs.

It only happens to Users, admins can sing in normally. I do not know why they aren't able to login.

I have a couple of plugins that deal with the login. Restricting Access etc, but I turned them off to test and the error still occurs.

Any idea?

Just to complement. The Users are only allowed on certain pages... the ones I created and added to Access plugin.

There is a conflict with Wordfence (plugin). Are you guys aware of that?

Hi Felipe,

Could you try replicating the issue on the test site here?
hidden link

This way I can check to see if it is a setting in the wordfence plugin that is causing this.

Thanks,
Shane

Shane,

Yes I added Wordfence to the site mentioned and it is not allowing Users to login. I just tested again... could you take a look please?

HI Felipe,

I suspect it is due to the 2 factor authentication here hidden link

I've enabled it for all the user accounts.

Could you try logging in with the non-admin account and let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

Shane, although on the test site worked, on the live site it did not. I activated just like you did but on the live site it is still not letting users login. I created a new login and everything. Copy and pasted both the login and the password and it is not allowing users to log in. It says the name or password are invalid.

So you know, I was in incognito.

#1376713

When I deactivate Wordfence, I'm able to login as a User in incognito just fine.

Hi Felipe,

Would you mind allowing me to have access to the live site to check on the wordfence settings?

The login worked fine for me with a test account that i've created on the test site.

Thanks
Shane

Hi Felipe,

I've tested the login with this site here
hidden link

What I want is to have a look at the actual live site here:
hidden link

Since we can already confirm that it works fine on the staging site.

Thanks,
Shane

#1377241

Sure, please send me a private login message and I'll send you the details

#1377443

Btw, I just edit the private message with the correct login... hopefully it works

Hi Felipe,

So the credentials don't work for me.

I suspect its because of the plugin. Is the default login page still available to use as i've tried accessing that but to no avail.

Thanks,
Shane

The login page is the same... if anything just go to the home page and click on login... also I disabled the plugin so you can login... please don't make any changes that can affect the site, since it's a live site, please.

Thank you
