User Search - Toolset

Problem:
Can we have Custom Searches on User Views?

Solution:
The feature request is accepted and scheduled for Views 2.6

But that really means not much. We cannot guarantee this will be released with that version, and even less we can state an ETA for it.
We planned to implement it in 2.4, and we had to postpone it.

But we can confirm the request is accepted, and we are aware of it's popularity.

I'm currently trying to set up a membership site, and one of the main features (of any membership site, really) is being able to search for other members in a directory. Of course, this is not possible within Toolset as-is, because Views only allows searches for Posts. Looking through the forums, it's clear that this issue has been raised many times in the past, but there's been no clear answer from the development team if and when this function would be integrated. For sites that simply showcase products, this isn't a big problem, since almost anything can be reworked as a CTP. However, for membership sites, this is an essential feature. There are many different users, and presumably they want to be able to find each other. Any definitive answer on whether or not you plan to incorporate user searches in Views (and when that feature might become available) would be welcome.

Thanks. The lack of ETA is disappointing, but knowing you plan to implement it at some point is reassuring.
