[Resolved] User post cred does not show keep radio option selected in wpadmin

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Radio buttons not saving when submitting CRED post form from front-end. Radio post field has image tag added in the “Custom field content”. Screenshot: https://d7j863fr5jhrr.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/545640-options_as_image_urls.jpg?x71388

How to solve this?

Solution:
The html should not be added in the "Custom field content" of a post field. It should only be added in the “Value to show” area.

And select the 2nd option there “Show one of these values” to display the images. Screenshot here:

Yes, I have confirmed that as well. I believe I had initially read that this was the way to set that up. After making the changes, I see that it corrects the issue.

Before I mark this as resolved. Could you please explain the purpose of the "custom field content" if it is not intended to be used this way?

I want to understand its purpose and how this may have changed info that was previously being submitted with the way that I had it set up. It was storing the correct value in the DB and it was showing the html content on the frontend.

The only thing it was not doing was keep the radio selection in the backend on initial submit.

Could you provide any further info on the purpose of the "custom field content"?

Well I don’t have much info on this. Just that “Custom field content” box works with numbers or text string but it's not supposed to use html as I know.

Thank you
