[Resolved] User directory – admin users not showing

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user created a view to show all their users including admin.

Solution:

The problem is that unless the user role itself is an admin role, this means it is an exact copy of the default wordpress admin role then you wont be able to see user roles that are higher than your role in the view.

Hi, we have a VIEW that shows all the users on our site, but for some reason it is missing out Admin users.

Do you know why this might be? and how we could fix it?

Thanks

Hi Leila,

Thank you for getting in touch.

What user role are you using to view the other users being listed ?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Leila,

Unfortunately the only workaround is to make the user "BioCity Team" a copy of the default wordpress admin role.

It is a security measure of wordpress to allow for users with lower roles to not see users with roles higher than them.

Thanks,
Shane
