I am using a user form as an application with a workdflow based on the instructions in this thread: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/edit-profile-form-not-working/

The fields have been created but they do not show up on the form clearly. The fields are part of a custom group for users but that user group does not show up in Access control -> Type field -> User Meta Field Access

The form on the frontend show the field title for some fields but not the whole field. What am I missing?

In the video you shared you are moving around the site so quickly it's not possible to know what we are expected to be looking at, it's not helpful in explaining the problem.

"The fields are part of a custom group for users but that user group does not show up in Access control -> Type field -> User Meta Field Access"

At Toolset > Custom Fields > User Fields I can see there are two user field groups, and when I go to Toolset > Access Control > Types Fields at the bottom in the section for User Fields both of those two user field groups are available in the settings.

"The form on the frontend show the field title for some fields but not the whole field. "

I edited your user form, and visited it as a guest on the front end and compared the fields that the form should display with those included in the front-end form. All of the fields in the form editor were output in the actual form on the front-end, except for the fields such as username and password, which are set to auto-generate.

So, I can't see any problems with the forms you've created. Could you please clarify what exactly is missing, where?

conditional single line.png

Nigel,

I don't know what happened but the fields were not getting populated yesterday as the video shows. Thank you!

I have follow up related to the form.

The form has a select field called industry with names of industry. I want to show a single line text field when a user selects "other" in the select field for industry. That way a user can tell us about the industry they work in if it not listed in the dropdown.

I tried to use the conditional group to show the other single line text field when industry field input is "Other but nothing happens on the form. What am I missing?

Hi Himanshu,

I had a quick look at this for you and the problem was that you were using the wrong value in the conditional.

What I saw you had was "other" however in the custom field group the value of the field is "1", "Other" is the field label.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Shane
