This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
Cross icon to remove an image which is uploaded in CRED form is missing for some specific user role.
Solution:
Create a new user and check again. For some reason old user was corrupted somehow in your site.

Instead, I got: No Cross
User can’t delete image from cred post form, admin can. I'm still having trouble with USERS ability to change a photo in a CREDFORM.
All plugins off, other theme.

Thank you for reaching out to us. You need to enable users (for example Subscriber/Guest) to “Edit Cred Post form”. Please go to: Toolset >> Access Control >> CRED Forms >> Post Forms Front-end Access Group (see attached screenshot)
