Team filter settings.PNG

Hi,
I'm using the Members plugin (hidden link) to manage my users roles/departments (i.e. Kitchen, Bar, Restaurant etc). Which allows me to select the relevant role on the user profile.

I would like to create a view that shows who is a member of which team. I can see the roles at the top of the view settings ok and have ticked 'Any Role'. But I can't seem to find the right settings in the filter, using shortcode variables, to select which role to show records for? Is this possible?

Please find attached a screenshot of the settings I'm looking at.

Hi Nick,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Given that there is a user on the view itself, it won't be possible to filter by the role through a shortcode parameter.

You will have to select the role that you want the view to display from the backend.

Thanks,
Shane

Ok thanks. So it looks like I need to create a separate view per head that I need.

If I need to select a team HOD where this user is a member of two teams, e.g. Kitchen and HOD ... is it possible to get it to treat this query as AND instead of OR. So it shows only the one user, rather than any one in Kitchen and all HOD users?

Hi Nick,

Unfortunately this User Role selection on the view doesn't function like this.

If you Select HOD and Kitchen it will show all the users of Both HOD and Kitchen instead of users who have both roles attached.

Thanks,
Shane
