Hi Team,

It has been some time since I last updated some of my web apps that use Toolset Maps, and I've realised that the "use my location" feature no longer works.

I've got this in my console: "Loading the Google Maps JavaScript API without a callback is not supported: hidden link"

Looks like something has changed and I got out of sync with staying up to date, can you help me get back on track?

Best,
D.

Hi there

Google updated their API recently, adding a required parameter which we weren't using, resulting in the message you were seeing in the console.

We published an erratum about this issue here: https://toolset.com/errata/js-error-from-google-api-when-displaying-a-map-on-the-front-end/

As it is just a warning I wasn't expecting it to have any consequences, so I'm not sure if it is related to Use my location not working.

The developers already have a fix for this new warning which will go out with the next Maps release.

Could I ask you to test that fix to see if it impacts your Use my location problem?

You can get the test version of the Maps plugin here: hidden link

Let me know how that goes. If it does resolve the problem I'll update the erratum accordingly.

Hi Nigel,

That update seems to have fixed the issue and “use my location” works as expected now.

Thank you for your quick reply and top notch support!

Best,
D.
